You Can Be A Net Control Operator

All that is necessary to be a net control operator is:
a.  membership in ECARS
b. FCC or Canadian issued amateur radio license with privileges in 40 meter band (7.255 MHz)
c.  desire to provide the service to those checking in

You do NOT need to have a big station to be a Net Control Operator.
- a 100 watt station is fine.
-  a functional antenna.  While a tree hung dipole is probably the most popular among the net control operators, verticals are also used.
