Other Amateur Radio History: HAM since 1962, advancing through General, Advanced, and Extra by 1987. I enjoy many facets of the hobby including 40M Nets, QRP building and operating, HF and VHF contests several times a year, old radios like Drake and old amps too.  This past September I traveled across the United States with my wife and participated in NPOA at various national parks around the country.

Personal Comments:
I have thoroughly enjoyed providing the ECARS service and serving ECARS for the past three years as President and hope to continue giving back to the organization going forward.

In my professional life, I served in the Air Force as a Fire Control Mechanic, and then after college (Louisiana Tech) and Graduate School (University of MD, College Park) became a High School Media Specialist and Public Librarian, retiring in 2009.

In addition to Ham radio, I enjoy flying and bicycling in my spare time.
