W4FHC Fred - auxiliary NCS
Hello my name is Fred. I've only been a ham since July 2002,
but am having a lot of fun. I upgraded to Extra in Aug 2004. I
work primary 40m, 20m, 6m.
My equipment is: FT 1000-MP Mark-V, Kenwood TS-2000,
756 PRO-II, TS-440, Ameritron
AL 811, Ameritron ALS-600
AMP, Ameritron
ATR-30 3kw and Palstar AT-1500CV tuners.
My antennas are: 60'
tower, Cushcraft tribander, Windom inverted
V 52 ft' on 40, Cushcraft A627013S beam on 6, and 5 elements
for each of 2m and 70cm.
I have a custom built ham shack that is insulated, paneled,
heated and air conditioned - with its own power circuits.
I retired from the USAF as an
Aircraft Technician in 1991, after serving 24 years including
Vietnam duty.
I am 58 yrs old and have one son 33 yrs., also in the USAF. He is 4th
generation Military.
